The most famous melody is the “hellish gallop” (French Galop Infernal) composer Jacques Offenbach (20 June 1819 - 5 October 1880) from the operetta “Orpheus to hell”: with its production in 1858, the dance fell on a large stage. (A parody of it is 4 times slowed “turtles” from Saint-Sansa Carnival).
The Franz Lagar is also used “Funny Widow” (1905).
