Now that is just false advertising. Its like calling an 8 minute track an radio edit. And yes, i know songs in pop charts that have pulled this.

If it is 3 minutes, don't call it an extended. If your original is even shorter than that (And i am not talking about PP sizes) then what's the point? Is the attention span of us boomers so shortened that extended mixes are 3 mins?

I have no issue with 3 minute tracks. But call them radio edits. Not extendeds.
